About Me

"Definitely Not A Tour" Tour (2021)

In 2021, Heilig unexpectedly finds himself back on tour, embarking on a journey of East Coast outdoor venues. But the tour begins and ends in Colorado, with a kickoff on July 4th at Morrison and a Halloween Bash finale presented by Coal Mine Sound, aptly named "The Hills Have Wubbs".

This tour was all about spontaneity and seizing the moment. Heilig pre-sold illustrations to the organizers before the event, and his compositions began as abstract expressions of the music. Transitioning his signature blue color palette to a deep teal, he painted the energy of the music for the first few hours, allowing the abstract markings to take shape and guide the composition. He then added subtle tones to highlight key areas, with clean black lines defining the final subjects he "found" within his paintings.

Covid Pandemic: Couch Tour (2020)

Heilig had long planned on taking a break from performing in 2020. When the pandemic news hit it was difficult to accept, but ultimately it worked out for the best. 2020 consisted mainly of catching up with digital chores, producing merchandise, rekindling old friendships and wondering why the DNC blocked Bernie Sanders from the nomination.

When you perform 3-5 nights a week for nine years straight, eventually it takes a toll. Everyone needs time to rest and regroup, even interdimensional train hoppers.
